The clinic had asked me to illustrate the surgeons’ work for their future patients. In order to provide good pictures, I had to find the balance between depicting the accuracy of the scene, of the gestures, and respecting the patient’s privacy. Through a subtle play of lights and shadows, I managed to give a warm, reassuring character to my pictures, while putting forth the sharpness and the confidence of the surgeon’s technique.
That shooting was particularly challenging for me in these specific circumstances, I had to have a strong stomach, so as not to pass out when photographing an open knee.
As I regard myself as a craftsman, I enjoy shooting / photographing people at work, creating, forging, sculpting, in a workshop or in an office.
Settings, backgrounds, atmospheres, gestures, materials : I will help you identify and outline every distinctive feature of your company and personality.
Always on the lookout for novelties : the style of my photographs change in order to meet the public’s evolving demands.
